Canyonlands Photo Gallery

Primarily shot in Southern Utah with the exception of a few from Monument Valley in N. Arizona. I spend a good bit of time in the desert as I grew up in the thick woods of the Appalachia the stark contrast always fascinates me.

Fine Art Prints

I currently offer fine art prints on Fuji Pearl Archive as well as metal prints. Both are archival and inspected by myself for qualtiy before they are signed. More information on prints.

This is an amazing location in Canyonlands and one I like to visit periodically throughout the year. It always amazes me just how much the sun moves north south from summer to winter. Astounding planet we live on.
There are a number of granaries located throughout the Canyonlands of Utah. Many are hundreds to thousands of years old. This one in particular holds one of the finer views.
I\'ve always seen these from afar but never made the hike out to witness them during a sunrise. Glad I did.
Always one of the best places to catch a sunrise. Unfortunately you are seldom alone to do so.
Needles district of the Canyonlands is a veritable maze of striated sandstone towers, pinnacles, canyons and meadows.
What a sunrise! A mackerel sky, amazing scenery, and my camera.
Southern Utah at it\'s finest. Zebra Slot Canyon is a bit of a hike and a no joke shimmy to get into.
Gorgeous morning in a location I could always wake up at.
Sunset as seen from the Green River Overlook.
Due to the arch being slightly offset from the cliff and somewhat dependent on the cloud cover at dawn this arch really does glow with a reddish hue for about 15 minutes.
A few miles back into the southern part of Canyonlands is a gorgeous meadow that at the time I was there had some spectacular clouds overhead.
False Kiva is a hidden gem in Canyonlands NP. Not mentioned in any park literature, presumably to preserve the site, it offers a breath-taking view in late afternoon.
Had to endure some serious winds to get down here to shoot. A front brought in some snow for the walk out making this a pretty and fun adventure.
Always a breath taking view and especially so when there are just a hint of clouds on the horizon. Luckily a storm had just moved out some of the haze.
I was racing back to the trail head after shooting the sunset out near Chesler Park in the Needles District and was lucky enough to look behind me. This was one of the better light shows I\'ve seen in the desert.
