Sierra nevada Photo Gallery

I've been traveling, climbing, working and photographing in the Eastern Sierras for 15 years. There's a reason it's been the subject of so much art and writing over the years.

Fine Art Prints

I currently offer fine art prints on Fuji Pearl Archive as well as metal prints. Both are archival and inspected by myself for qualtiy before they are signed. More information on prints.

I\'ve known about this panel for years and shot it a few times but I\'ve never been lucky enough to be in the area when a gorgeous sunrise or sunset was present. Taking things into my own hands I ventured up in 7°F temps and got this night shot.
A covering of snow the day after Christmas in the Alabama Hills of the Sierra. A rabbit beat me out of bed for the sunrise.
I was particularly lucky to get a little cloud cover this day to make the typically sunny skies a little more dramatic. Early winter morning in the Owen's River Valley.
I was lucky enough to be in this area a day after a fresh dusting in the mountains. Mt. Whitney the Whitney Portal Arch and the moonset made a wonderful panoramic view.
A few of the Bristlecone pines in the White mountains have stood for close to 5,000 years. It\'s hard for me not to be without words in light of what these gnarled beauties have been witness to.
I guess this is a tribute to one of my favorite photographers, Galen Rowell. Moonset over Wheeler Crest.
I\'ve spent over 11 years working, playing & wandering around the Eastern Side of the Sierras and for some reason I\'ve not spent much time around the Alabama Hills. Luckily that changed this past year. Have to thank Galen Rowell for this!
The iconic towers of Mono Lake in evening light.
Mono Lake is known for its tufas. I've visited here for years and always find something spectacular to see.
This valley pond provided a perfect mirror to the colors cascading across the sky this evening.
I thought this tuft of grass beside the Owen\'s River catching the first golden rays of the day was just too good to pass over.
Taken from the Owen's Valley River, this panorama includes Mt. Tom and Basin Peak.
Interesting light catching the tufas of Mono Lake post sunset.
Mono Lake is oft photographed; yet I always find something unique and intriguing to shot everytime I visit.
