Southern utah Photo Gallery

The area of Southern Utah and Northern Arizona holds so much beauty. Given a lifetime I'm sure one would only see a fraction of it all.

Fine Art Prints

I currently offer fine art prints on Fuji Pearl Archive as well as metal prints. Both are archival and inspected by myself for qualtiy before they are signed. More information on prints.

Stock Photography

Here are the links to my various stock galleries. For NG you'll need to search for my name.

Light. In the right proportion and complimentary hues can really make you stare.
One of a number of cascading waterfalls on the way into the Subway
The Court House Towers in Arches NP are amazing at any time of the year but spring is just outstanding. Best of Assignments Outdoor Photographer March 2011.
Deep in the southern Utah desert lie countless ruins from multiple cultures. This is but one reminder of their past.
Located in an area that is still hard to get to and particularly arid it\'s hard to imagine farming, hunting, and living here a thousand years ago.
Typically shot at sunrise Turret Arch also proves to be a remarkable place to catch a sunset.
One of a number of silent sentinels that have stood watch over this very remote part of Southern Utah.
Funneled into this channel the water blurs into a milky white.
What a privilege it was to enjoy my day here. A wonderful hike in the back country, the sound of the river flowing, light bouncing from canyon wall to canyon wall.
Even chilled by the running water and a bit tired from the approach I\'d much rather spend my day getting here than doing anything else.
I was fortunate enough this fall to make a trip to Monument Valley during the full moon. Something I\'d been thinking about since last years trip.
Both the east and west mittens as well as Merrick Butte are iconic in almost any photo. Devoid of clouds though I find the best time to shoot them is predawn.
This is one of the better places in my estimation to catch a sunrise. You\'ll need a guide and will have to pay quite a sum for the privilege.
Detail of three hoodoos that have eroded over the centuries from the canyon rim some 50 feet higher.
Driving around Northern Arizona looking for White Pocket I became more than a bit lost. I found a number of abandoned ranches from decades ago and spent the night beneath this windmill.
Amazing ruin and granaries in Mule Canyon.
This silhouette was so dramatic to me. The towers and buttes of the Valley are all amazing even in the light before dawn. Simply an amazing place in any light.
Balanced Rock silhouetted against a storm that clears on the horizon.
Looking as though it was constructed last year this granary sits untouched as it has for hundreds of years.
Detail shot of one of the numerous white hoodoos in the area. This one was catching a subtle glow from an adjacent hillside.
Sunset light falls across the Mittens in Monument Valley accentuating the red of the rock.
A view from the valley floor looking north with clouds that couldn't have been better just after sunrise provided this gorgeous view.
Pre dawn overlooking the Mittens in Monument Valley. Featured on Earthshots.org as the photo of the day.
On a hike up to Emerald Pools in Zion, I was really taken with the color offered up by the water streaks, rock and foliage.
